What's New with SEODA Treasures?
I have been learning how to improve on my social media posts and make them a bit more interesting, and I have to say I am quite chuffed as to how this one turned out, thanks to the help of CANVA and the great tutors at WWETB SYOB.
I make a selection of various Framed Artwork using handpicked, dried, pressed local flowers, these frames can be personalised on request. My Jewellery pieces are all made from dried, pressed, locally sourced handpicked flowers, placed into a silver coloured hand painted base, each jewellery piece comes in a beautiful presentation box, making the ideal gift for any loved one.
I always like to work on new things at the beginning of a new year when all the craziness of Christmas is over and I think "out with the old and in with the new". I have been looking into all the wonderful things that can be done with gel plate printing and am so proud to show you my very first attempt! , which I don't think looks too bad...
Something new for me in that I put this tutorial together to give you an idea of how I make my framed plaster pieces. I used Lavender from the garden for this example but any type of botanicals can be used that will leave a nice imprint in the modelling clay, you can compose them in any way you like and create some wonderful pieces quite easily that can be left framed or unframed, whatever you prefer. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments section below
Christmas preparations are well underway, I've just about finished putting up all the decorations at home and I have just one more Craft Fair to attend next Sunday, December 11th in the GAA Centre https://www.facebook.com/tramorecommunitymarket/. I've just completed this little fella as an experiment to see how he would work out and I have to say that I am delighted with the results. I used dried pressed Orange Crocosmia Lucifer and Fuscia petals taken from the garden.

Thes new pieces are made by using freshly cut botanicals and using them to imprint a pattern onto paper using inks and acrylic paint, all these pieces are original works of art and are truely unique one-of-a-kind pieces.
